Understanding treatment options

Medicines information

Our approach covers nutrition, physical activity and behavioural support and, for some eligible adults, prescription treatment. This page explains medicines you may have heard about. It isn't a recommendation or an offer to supply any particular medicine.

How to use your injection pen

New to injecting? These step-by-step videos can help you get familiar with your pen. Choose the one for the exact medicine and pen you've been prescribed, and always read the instructions that come with your medicine.

Videos don't replace your leaflet or proper training. Different pens work differently, even for the same medicine, so don't learn from a video of a US single-dose pen if you have a UK multi-dose pen. If you're unsure how to take your dose, speak to your pharmacist or prescriber before injecting. External sites may have their own privacy and cookie policies.
